She noticed that when companies struggled, people would often point fingers at different teams, processes, or even the strategy itself. While these areas can always be improved, they were rarely the root cause of the problem.
Instead, she found that the real issues almost always stemmed from challenges with team dynamics, a lack of cross-functional collaboration, resistance to change, and/or employees who felt disempowered.
Teams want to succeed, and Erin doesn't believe strategy execution has to be difficult and frustrating. After years of coaching teams on how to use strategy and planning frameworks, she now helps them not only apply these frameworks effectively but also implement them with real impact. Throughout her career, Erin has held pivotal roles at major corporations like Southwest Airlines and PepsiCo, where she successfully launched innovative initiatives and elevated growth and productivity strategies. As a leader at Mary Kay, she spearheaded the Customer Insights and Global Strategy divisions, building her reputation for transforming teams and creating entirely new functions.
Today, Erin is committed to guiding leaders to set clear visions and unlock their full potential. She mentors both seasoned executives and aspiring professionals, focusing on critical skills like decision-making, influencing, and navigating ambiguity. What sets her apart is a holistic approach to leadership. She understands it takes functional knowledge, broad business acumen, exceptional people skills, and a high level of self-awareness and self-management. Having experienced burnout herself, she places a strong emphasis on well-being and energy management. She's trained as a yoga instructor, bringing a unique perspective on balance and resilience to her coaching.
